Luo Mingjun (*1963) is an internationally acclaimed Swiss artist, who explores the notions of identity and memory. Her art is an expression of her life experience, the interweaving of her Chinese origins and her new Swiss foundation.
The works of Yafeng Duan (*1973) emerge from the harmonious interweaving of art and nature, a connection that transcends mere observation of the surrounding environment. Yafeng’s abstract artworks are a fusion of vibrant forms and colours, juxtaposed with the pure white of the untouched canvas. The artist creates a space that invites free interpretations, a place open to the observer’s imagination.
Jin Shan (b.1977, Jiangsu Province, China) is an agent provocateur. Preferring wit and satire to aggression and conflict, his work uses humor and play to draw audiences into a confrontation with the social, cultural and political problems of the day. While specifically describing aspects of contemporary China, his investigation of human motivation extends beyond national boundaries to the seemingly insatiable desire for power programmed into humanity’s DNA.
