ABOUT The Artist
GAO XIANG/ 高翔
GAO XIANG / 高翔 (*1971) was born in Kunming, China. In 2008, he received a Ph.D. in oil painting from China Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing, where he studied under Professor Zhong Han. Gao is an expert on the paintings of Giorgio Morandi. He currently lives and works in Beijing and Kunming. For his projects at Lugu Lake and in the Xishuangbanna region in Yunnan, he has created dialogue over several years with residencies and exhibitions together with European and Chinese artists.
